The Tech Behind Scan-Link's Armour Backup System

One of the companies that we, here at Mountain Regional Equipment Solutions, are most proud to represent is Scan-Link, and its Armour backup system. With the Armour system, machinery operators are notified if they are close to running into a slow moving object, such as a boulder, another piece of machinery, or even another person. This cutting edge safety system is powered by a technology called Radio-frequency identification, commonly referred to as RFID.

What is RFID?

RFID is a type of wireless technology that lets you identify objects that have been fitted with special RF (Radio-Frequency) identification tags. Among the most common uses for the technology today are for both human and animal identification, contactless payments through either a card or a mobile device, and inventory management.

The Scan-Link

With the Scan-Link Armour System, SCAN~LINK Technologies Inc. has introduced a new use for this flexible technology in the form of an active safety system. The primary use for the system is to assist machinery operators with blind spots, but it can have several other applications in both on highway and off highway vehicles.

The Armour System is the only one of its kind and Mountain Regional Equipment Solutions is proud to be affiliated with it. For more information or if you have any questions feel free to contact us.
